Frèderic Chopin and George Sand Museum

Chopin visited Mallora with writer George Sand in 1838. They rented cell number 4 in the La Cartuja monastery in Valldemossa, where Chopin received his Pleyel piano from Paris.

During his stay, he used this piano to compose great works such as his Preludes, a Polonaise, his second Ballad and his third Scherzo.

Chopin sold his piano in Mallorca to the Canut family.

Since 1932, the piano has been on display in the same room in which Chopin played it.
