The “Casa Museo de Son Marroig” is a private institute created in 1927 with the aim of preserving, disseminating and promoting the emblematic figure of the Archduke Luis Salvador.
An important figure in the cultural and patronage history of the final years of the nineteenth century and the beginning of last century, the Casa Museo de Son Marroig offers an insight into the old belongings of the Archduke. This large museum room is dedicated to him, and inside it you can find: drawings, books and some of his personal belongings. Its main aim is to make visitors aware of the work carried out by the author of the greatest work written on our islands: “Die Balearen”, his love for nature and his promise to respect our history.
