At the bottom of the Bonany hill, within the municipal border of Sant Joan, the property known as “Els Calderers” can be found.
The estate, traditionally dedicated to agriculture and livestock, has been converted into a museum and its doors are open to the public all year round, offering visits to the stately home, which was built in 1750, the pens for indigenous animals and the various machine shops and ancient tool shops.
Els Calderers is one of the most emblematic “belongings” of Pla de Mallorca and a visit, which includes wine tasting in the Cellar, will allow you to learn more about the way people used to live and work in rural Mallorca in the eighteenth century.
Entrance fees: 7 Euros for adults and 3.5 Euros for children. Opening hours: between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from April to October, and between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from November to March.
