Sant Bonaventura

Sant Bonaventura

It is considered the most important civil monument of Llucmajor. It was recovered by the City Council in 1842 after the secularization of the Franciscans, using it as the Civil Guard barracks, courts and municipal slaughterhouse. Currently, after a restoration work, it is used as a civic and cultural center. Besides the mural paintings, discovered in 1999, it has a curious permanent exhibition consisting of 134 painted tiles from the 17th century alluding the cult, found in the priory of Sant Bonaventura. The place is also used to host temporary exhibitions, concerts and other cultural activities.
