Arta caves

Arta caves

Located at the end of the Capdepera coast in Cap Vermell, the Artá caves are surrounded by mountains rising from the sea. These are spectacular caves which should not be missed and they are open all year long.

The visit takes between 35 and 40 minutes. It includes guides in Spanish, French, English and German. The temperature inside is about 18° and the humidity ranges between 30% (winter) and 95% (summer).

April, May, June and October: from 10 to 18 / July, August and September: from 10 to 19 / November and March: from 10 to 17.

Once the ticket has been purchased, you will enter a spacious room called Vestíbulo or Salón de Entrada, in which countless stalagmites and stalactites of miraculous forms and unusual proportions hang from the elevated vault. High stalagmites rise from the ground with this magnificent superiority of fantastic creations of nature, resembling human forms - still, rigid and indifferent to the look of a man.

During the visit you will be able to enjoy the view of a 22-meter stalagmite in the Sala de la Reina.

You will also attend a light and sound show in the other room known as El Infierno.
